I've been making crocheted flowers for a long time. I just love crocheting them since they are quite easy, yet add such a special charm to any project!
The other day though I had an idea. An idea on how to add even MORE charm to my flowers!!
I also started a crochet Channel On Youtube full of tutorials on how to crochet a variety of stitches, pretty exciting, eh??
Beanie pattern HERE!
What You'll Need:
8ply Yarn (You can use a thicker ply, or thinner ply yarn, but I used 8ply) in two different colours.
4.50 Crochet Hook
Wool/Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Instructions:
I started of by crocheting a flower. Click HERE to go to my tutorial on how to make these pretty flowers/rosettes.
Then after I had crocheted the entire flower, yet before I had sewed it up together, I took a different colour that compliments the flower. I did a Slip Knot and pushed my crochet hook into the first stitch of the flower. Then I crocheted Slip Stitches into every single stitch till I reached the end of the long row of flower petals. On your last slip stitch, fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
Now lay your long strip of petals down in a circle, working your way in. If you want the flower flattish, make it quite open and loose. Or if you want it thicker and chunkier you'll have to lay it tighter and more on top of each other. When you've decided which way you'd like it, take your wool needle and just start sewing it together! Not to tightly though, but tight enough to keep it together. When it's all sewed up, fasten off and weave in ends.
You're all done! If you'd like to add a leaf to your new flower, you can find a pattern HERE!
If you did crochet this, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page, I'd love to see it!
Please Subscribe to my blog, it would make my day!
Hope this gave you guys some inspiration!
