~ Bow ~
Now you can just leave the beanie like this, or you can add some extra cuteness by adding an adorable bow!
If you'd like the pattern for the bow you can find it HERE
You'll want your bow to be the same colour as the stripe you crocheted in your beanie.
Once you've finished crocheting the bow, take your tapestry/wool needle and work the bow over the stripe on the right or left side depending on what you prefer. I sewed my bow on the right side.
When your bow is firmly secure, fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

And you're done! I hope you all enjoyed that tutorial, if you have any questions, comment away!
If you did crochet this beanie or bow, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page, I'd love to see it. Please Subscribe to my blog, it would really make my day!
Have a great day crocheting,

12 Free Blue Floral Social Media Icons

For those of you who may not know, I live in Australia which means we are currently transitioning  into Winter.... YAY! (Please note the sarcasm in my voice)
Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I hate winter or anything, but you have to admit, compared to Summer it's absolutely depressing! No flowers, no fun trips to the beach and hardly any warm sunshine. It's no wonder most people prefer almost any season over Winter!
But I know, it's all about the "Circle of Life", (I might have been slightly obsessed with The Lion King as a child haha) and as much as I hate to admit it, we need Winter.
So while I'm busy snuggling under a blanket trying to cope with the cold I've decided to ignore the dull weather outside and create some fun floral media icons!
They seem to have a real vintage feel about them, don't they? I hope you all enjoy them!

Easy Garden Cross Stitch Patterns

I happen to have quite the green thumb... And no I have not been finger painting recently!
I've always loved gardening. There is something very calming about helping a seed grow and transform into a beautiful flower.
Now I have two little questions for you, yes Y-O-U reading this post.
Do you like gardening? Do you like Cross Stitch?
If you answered yes to both of those questions then this post will be absolutely perfect for you, so enjoy!

I've told you all a few times before about my love of gardening and flowers so I thought it was about time I shared some photos with you that I took of flowers growing in my garden.

I hope you all have an amazing day full of flowers, sunshine and happiness!

Basic Turban Crochet Pattern

While I was busy designing and crocheting this turban it reminded me of the time I visited Dubai (For those of you that may not know, Dubai is located within the United Arab Emirates).
I was only six years old at the time, and even though it was a bit scary being in a different country it really opened my eyes to the beauty of different cultures.
Eleven years later I'm busy typing this blogpost while sitting on a Persian carpet, a special gift from friends that lived there for a few years.
While I stroke the little hairs that bind it all together I'm still amazed at the intricate designs it holds.
One day I'd love to go back to Dubai and explore through the markets. I remember walking by them and admiring the rows and rows of stalls filled with little treasures.
Is there any particular country you'd love to visit one day?

Using your needle, push it from inside of the turban towards the outside right above the 6th last row. Now wrap it around the edge of the turban and pull tight. Push the needle back through the top again.
Repeat winding until the "knot" of your turban is nice and secure and looks pretty.

10 DIY Mother's Day Gift Ideas

I remember growing up that my favourite place in the whole wide world was my mum's lap.
She didn't mind if I wrapped my chubby little arms around her neck and soaked her shoulder with my childish tears.
In fact, with just a soft stroke through my curls, a gentle hush and a kiss on my forehead she could soothe me almost instantly.
Her lap was also always the perfect place for a chit chat, a game, a book, a laugh and especially a hug.
Over the past few years no matter where we've been, or what we've gone through, she's always made me feel loved and protected.
If the saying "Home is where the heart is" is true, then my mum was and will always be my home... I love you Mamma!

I hope you all enjoyed this collection of DIY Mother's Day gifts!

Do you have something special planned this Mother's Day? Maybe a heartfelt gift?
